Day 1 Depart from Spalding at 8am, there will be a couple of convenience stops to arrive at the hotel by 4pm

Day 2 We will make our way to Pooley Bridge to enjoy time on the Ullswater Steamer, the full length of the lake to Glenridding. Our coach will pick us up at Glenridding and visit Bowness via the Kirkstone Pass

Day 3 Today we go out on the Mountain Goat Minibuses to explore high mountain passes and Muncaster Castle. Embark on an unforgettable journey through the heart of the Lake District. Travel through the breathtaking Langdale Valley before tackling the dramatic Wrynose and Hardknott Passes, where you'll have time to take in the extraordinary scenery. Our adventure continues to Wast Water, England’s deepest lake, renowned for its awe-inspiring views. Next, we'll visit the historic Muncaster Castle, here you will have time to purchase a delicious locally sourced lunch before exploring the magnificent castle and gardens, followed by a thrilling flying display or have a go at axe throwing or archery in the Medieval Weapons Hall.

Day 4 Visit Grasmere & Keswick. Grasmere is perhaps best known as the home of William Wordsworth, a place he once described as "The most loveliest spot that man hath found." Set alongside Grasmere Lake, Grasmere is shrouded by a panorama of fells and mountains that provide the atmosphere so beloved of Wordsworth and the Romantic poets. Old cottages, faced with pebbledash, and houses of bluish-green local slate vie for attention along the twisty streets of the village. Victorian villas sit comfortably beside hotels, galleries and shops catering to tourists. The local church of St. Oswald's, in the centre of Grasmere, has a history stretching from the 13thC, and is the final resting place of William Wordsworth. Wordsworth's memory is heavy throughout Grasmere with his former home, Dove Cottage being one of the most popular attractions in Grasmere along with a museum dedicated to Wordsworth. Wordsworth's later dwelling at nearby Rydal Mount can also be visited. Gingerbread lovers are strongly recommended to stop for a treat at the famous Grasmere Gingerbread shop near the church! Keswick, situated between the huge bulk of Skiddaw and the gentle beauty of Derwentwater, has become the major centre for tourism in the northern Lake District. This pretty market town offers a wide range of attractions for visitors, from shops and restaurants to museums with a difference.
